David boasts an impressive list of certifications, training, and accomplishments that have shaped him into a well-rounded firearms instructor. Drawing from his experiences with security operations in Israel, David developed exceptional skills as a Close-quarter Combat 'CQC' expert.
Additionally, his dedication to public safety led him to serve as a Volunteer Baltimore County Firefighter, Paramedic, and Rescue Specialist until 2006. To further expand his knowledge and expertise, David pursued advanced education, earning a PsyD in therapy and a Masters in Psychology. He is recognized as an NRA and USCCA Pistol, Rifle, and Shotgun Instructor, as well as a Range Safety Officer for both organizations.
David's commitment to emergency preparedness is evident in his certifications in Countering the Mass Shooter Threat and Emergency First Aid Fundamentals. With his diverse background and unwavering dedication to safety and education, David Kowalsky is a respected firearms instructor, admired by his peers and students alike.
Personal Life
David is not just a dedicated firearms instructor, but a man deeply rooted in family values, personal growth, and faith. Adopted in the sunshine state of Miami, Florida, but nurtured in the charm city of Baltimore, Maryland, David's story is as diverse as his interests.
But the real stars in David's life are his sons - the ever-dynamic duo of Jacob (26) and Mason (19) - and his vivacious Miniature Schnauzer, Lexi. As a single father, he embraces the joys and challenges that come with parenting with a warm heart, and Lexi, well, she's the fur-covered cherry on top of his vibrant everyday life.
And when he's not imparting wisdom in the shooting range, you can find David unwinding with a good book or an exciting video game. He's also an avid camper who enjoys the simplicity of nature, and nothing quite clears his head like a long, thoughtful walk. David's life isn't just about teaching; it's about learning, growing, and enjoying life's many beautiful moments.
